The ISN Investigative Interviewing System© Course is based on Personality Based Communication which encapsulates ten (10) stages delivered over a period of three (3) days. As well as encompassing all aspects of effective interview components, the ISN Investigative Interviewing System© has been specifically developed to assimilate current Canadian Law; including, criminal, corporate and civil. The ISN Investigative Interviewing System© was developed by a team integrating over 100 years of combined experience in the field. This team, developed the interview strategy resulting in the confession of Michael Briere, one of Canada's most notorious child killers.

Dave Perry: (click to read more)

Dave Perry is the founder and CEO of Investigative Solutions Network Inc. He has over 32 years of law enforcement experience and has established an international reputation as one of Canada's premier investigators. Dave has over 27 years experience with the Toronto Police Service and worked several years in both the Homicide Squad and Sex Crimes Unit. He has solved and obtained confessions on some of the countries most difficult homicides. Dave is an expert in interviewing who teaches senior investigators, front line police officers, private security and human resource professionals throughout Canada and the United States.

Kate Lines was a member of the Ontario Provincial Police for over 33 years. She worked in uniform, drugs, fraud, intelligence, homicide and sexual assault. Kate was trained by the FBI to become Canada's first female criminal profiler. She retired as a Chief Superintendent in charge of the OPP's Investigation and Support Bureau. Kate has ignificant experience in human resource management. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in conjunction with the Crime and Deviance Specialist Program from the University of Toronto and Advanced Certificates in Police Studies and Police Management Studies.

Chris Wilson is a decorated law enforcement professional including 25 years with the Toronto Police Service and over 5 years in the private sector law enforcement arena. Chris retired from the Toronto Police Service at the rank of Staff Sergeant but, the highlight of his career was serving 6 years as a Detective in the Homicide Squad. He has an impressive record including the fact that he solved 32 out of 33 homicide cases assigned to him. After retiring, Chris attended U of T and obtained his Bachelor of Education degree. He is an expert in interviewing, investigating and teaching. With his years of experience, Chris has been a significant part of the training team at ISN for the past 5 years.

Jim Van Allen is a certified Criminal Profiler with over 29 years public sector experience. His reputation is world renowned. Jim is one of the most highly trained interviewers in the country and has conducted indirect personality assessments and developed successful interview strategies for a number of Canada's most serious and high profile cases. He has trained Criminal Profilers throughout the world and has lectured senior investigators for many years in the area of: preparing for interviews, interviewing sex offenders and the mentally ill, interviewing psychopaths, defence mechanisms, and detecting deception.

The ISN Investigative Interviewing System© has been developed utilizing the most qualified specialists in the county. The course was developed by Canadian experts for Canadian Law Enforcement Professionals. The course incorporates current criminal and corporate law using practical Cognitive Interviewing Techniques based on a sound theoretical framework.
